If you are using Google Analytics on your site, then you are tracking your visitors and collecting data such as visitor location, device type, operating system, and more.
What Is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a data protection law across all 28 EU Countries. It imposes rules on controlling and processing of Personally Identifiable Information. Businesses that handle Personal Information must store the data with the highest-possible privacy setting. A company must disclose the type of data it is collecting, purpose and for how long the data is saved.
How To Setup A Cookie Consent Notification
To set up a cookie consent notification you need to install Cookie Consent plugin.
To install the plugin go to Plugins >> Add New
Now visit Settings >> Cookie Consent page to configure plugin settings.
On this page select the setting you need like How you want the user to close the notification, Notification Duration, Cookie Expiry.
Now switch to the Content tab.
On this page, you can change the text you want users to see.
After making the changes, click the Save button.
